No rest for Virat Kohli as BCCI announces squad for West Indies tour

While MS Dhoni has been granted leave as requested, skipper Virat Kohli would be leading both One Day International and T20 team as BCCI on Sunday announced teams for the West Indies tour.

Dhoni who is retirement decision is talk of the town after Team India’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 exit, had asked for two months leave as he is going to9 serve his Army unit. It was expected that Virat Kohli may also be rested for the tour but BCCI have opted to keep him along and to lead both teams.

India on the tour will play three ODI’s , three T20I’s and Two Tests.

Hardik Pandya has been rested for the full series, Jasprit Bumrah only part of the Test squad. Rishabh Pant is the only wicketkeeper.
