Pakistan new batting sensation Haider Ali has said that Team India opener Rohit Sharma is his role-model and he looks upto him to improve his game.

Speaking with media through video conference on Thursday Haider Ali said he look up to Rohit Sharma as his role model and want to become an opening batsman like him.

He said that Rohit Sharma is best batsman in all formats. He knows art of converting 50s to 100s and 100s to 150s which I want to do as well. He said thay he wants to become a match winner like Rohit.

“My role-model is Rohit Sharma. He’s one of the best batsmen and is someone who adapts his batting to all 3 formats. Once he crosses 50, he makes 100, after that 150, then 200. I want to have a similar mindset in my career & finish matches for Pakistan, ” Haider Ali said.

Haider Ali who has been drafted into Pakistan senior after giving brilliant performance in Under -19 and Pakistan Super League said that representing Pakistan in Test cricket is iis dream.

“Representing Pakistan in test cricket is my dream. I always wanted to take tips from Younis Khan esp sweep shot. I liked his captaincy and technique. Initially I liked Shahid Afridi too. I’m naturally a power hitter. I can open and bat in mid order as well, ” He said.
