Srinagar, Sep 20:  Omar Nisar scored unbeaten 86 off 66 balls as Islamia College Alumni cricket team chased down mammoth total 242 runs to book place in the final of the 11th Prof. Yousuf Memorial Inter-College Cricket Cup on Wednesday.DSC03724-2

Batting first GDC Ganderbal scored 241 runs in allotted 30-overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Danish scored 108 runs from 70 balls while as Suhail scored 34 off 12.Owais Shah took two wicket for Alumni.

In reply Islamia College Alumni achieved the target for the loss of 8-wickets in the last over with just 3 balls to spare. Umar Nisar was the main scorer with 86 not out in 66 balls and Raees Mir contributed with 30 ball 47. For Ganderbal, Basit took three wickets and Danish took two wickets. Alumni won by two wickets.

Principal Islamia College was the chief guest on the first semifinal and had a formal introduction with both the teams  at the beginning of the match.

The second semifinal of the tournament will be played between the Hosts Islamia College and A S College Srinagar on Thursday. The tournament is being organised by the department of Physical Education Islamia College Srinagar.
