Srinagar, May 5: Jammu and Kashmir’s lone international cricketer Monday said that while players from other places would be finding it difficult to live in lockdown, they (people in Kashmir) are used to it.

India is under a complete lockdown owing to coronavirus outbreak, impacting the fitness of sportspeople across. Parvez, who is also J&K’s captain, however, feels people here aren’t that troubled by this lockdown.

“I feel players from other parts will be facing some difficulties. I won’t say we are not facing any issues, but we have become used to such situations,” Parvez told The Tribune in an interview.

The Valley was under a long clampdown post abrogation of Article 370 in August last year.

“Last year, when restrictions were imposed after August 5, we didn’t give up. We were not demoralised by the situation,” He said.

The all-rounder played a vital part in J&K’s dream run in 2019-20 domestic season. The side made it to the quarter-finals of Ranji Trophy.
