Srinagar: A five-day long Phoenix Sports Fest 2016 was inaugurated today at Indoor stadium Srinagar. The event marks the kick start of a series of gaming events which will be played in six disciplines of Badminton, Judo, Thang-Ta, Tug of War, Table Tennis and Archery.
The event being sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir Police district Srinagar was inaugurated today by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Farooq Ahmed Lone and SSP, Srinagar Amit Kumar. The event was inaugurated by a spectacular musical event with a scintillating performance by famous Kashmir singer Shazia Bashir.
A eye catching spectacle of Sporting skills were displayed by various players ranging from various disciples like Judo, Thang-Ta.
A total of 450 players are participating in the five day long event which will be earmarked by various spectacular sporting performances. Various inter zonal and national players will be participating in five day long event.
