Playing for Punjab cricket team, Jasia Akhtar who hails from Kashmir starred for her cricket side as they beat J&K by 9-wickets in the first match of senior women’s cricket tournament at Agartala on February 20.

After J&K scored 61 runs for 7 wicket in 20 overs, Jasia leading the chase for Punjab made it it look like easy. Punjab got to total for the loss of 1 wickets with Jasia top scoring.

Jasia scored unbeaten 32 off mere 30 balls in which she hit 5 fours.

Jasia originally hails from Kashmir but has been playing for Punjab from last several years. She is top cricketer who was twice selected for India camp. She was recently also awarded State award by J&K Government.
