Srinagar, July 2: Pakistan cricket has many stories wherein a highly talented cricketer gets wasted due to lack of opportunities or their is no room for the person to make his way into Pakistan cricket team owing to some other player at same place doing well.

One such story is that of now a senior Pakistan cricket Fawad Alam who despite having done well when given chance and having been amoung top run getters in domestic cricket hardly found place in team.

Now back in Pakistan side again Fawad Alam has said that he is proud to be back in Pakistan team and wearing the logo on his chest again.

The left handed batsman in a video released by Pakistan Cricket Board has said thatthe desire to play for the national team always remains on top.

“Obviously we are missing our family during these unprecedented times but still playing for the country is the utmost priority. As a player, we thrive to play and once the chance comes, it is not the time to stay relax,” said Fawad.

Fawad is back in Pakistan Test squad after 10 years gap and he said,“The excitement of wearing the Pakistan star logo is something that is unique. It’s a proud feeling to wear Pakistan colors as all of the club and First-class cricket you play is for the reason of playing for your nation,”.

Fawad thanked fans for supporting him and the team throughout on social media and different platforms.

“Fans have always been with us. They have supported me and the team. We know it will be difficult to play without them and we will also miss them,” he concluded.

Pakistan is scheduled to play three Tests and as many T20Is against England in August and September.
