Ranji Trophy: Accumulation of water in parts of ground makes J&K-Jharkhand match suffer

LocalRanji Trophy: Accumulation of water in parts of ground makes J&K-Jharkhand match suffer

The accumulation of water in parts of GGM Science College ground has made J&K verses Jharkhand Group C match suffer as JKCA lacks basic machinery to cover up such issues.

The first day of play was washed out while half of second day is also lost. However, an official confirmed that the restoration has almost been done and match might start after 1PM.

“Groundsmen are trying their best to clear the water and fill up patches around the pitch. Probably match will start after 1PM,” an official told KSW.

Meanwhile, despite having been affiliated to BCCI for about five decades, JKCA hasn’t been able to give its only two grounds the required equipment.
