Chetan Bist was the main tormentor for J&K bowlers as he remained not out on 146 run knock for Rajasthan at the end of day 1 play in Ranji Trophy match at Jaipur on November 1.

At stumps on Day 1, Rajasthan were going strong with 300 run total on board for the loss of only 3 wickets. None of the J&K bowlers looked penetrative as Bist went on to pile runs for hosts. At the end of days play Bist was going strong on 146 run knock off 268 balls that included 22 fours.

Earlier J&K won the toss and opted to field first. The decision looked to be a wrong one as Rajasthan openers gave solid start to their side. Rajasthan lost first wicket on the score of 61 in shape of AV Gautam who scored 25 and was LBW victim of Parvez Rasool. Then Bist in middle was joined by MK Lomar. They took score to 127 runs before Umar Nazir broke the stand. Lomrar got out after scoring 24. After the fall of C Bist, Robin Bist came in the middle. The double Bist formed another big stand for Rajasthan. Robin Bist got out after scoring 39 runs. He was taken by Umar Nazir. The double Bist stand was off 87 runs.

At the other end C Bist was going strong and is currently batting with Ashok Maneria in the middle. The duo took Rajasthan score to 300 run mark before the day’s play was called off. Maneria was bating on 45 off 66 balls.
