Srinagar, February 04: Jiyaad Magrey is making his debut while Mohammed Mudhasir also makes a cut for J&K as Tripura opts to bowl first in the round-eight match of Ranji Trophy at Agartala.

Knowing the pitch has some help to offer for bowlers especially on first day of play, hosts, after winning the toss, opted to bowl first. The decision proved out to a good one as J&K opener Suryansh Raina was sent back within first six overs.

However, experienced Shubham Khajuria took the charge of ship alongside debutant Jiyaad Magrey to make some recovery. The former though was also removed later on 40 runs.

When this report was being filed, J&K were 94-2 in 36.4 overs. Magrey, playing on 39 off 104 balls, was looking steady with Shubham Pundir, 9 off 54 balls, defending the other side.

Mohammed Mudhasir, who missed the last match due to illness, has been recalled in the playing XI replacing spinner Waseem Raza. Jiyaad came in for out-of-form Ahmad Banday.
