Srinagar: JK Ranji team finished its Ranji trophy campaign on a dismal note as they had to fight hard to save match against Chattisgarh on last day of the match at Gwalior on Saturday.

JK finished day, on 228 for seven as both teams settled for a draw. Chattisgarh earned three points from match on the basis of first inning lead while as JK got only one.

On the last day of the play, Shubham Khajuria scored 72 while as Pranav scored 65. Star cricketer Parvez Rasool scored 66 off 62 balls. Samiullah and Amir Aziz played out draw for JK.

Earlier Chattisgarh declared second inning on 264 runs setting a target of 3932 for JK included that of first inning lead 128 runs. Khare again scored ton for them in the match.

For JK Parvez  Rasool picked three wickets that fell in Chattisgarh inning.

With this draw JK finished season on 8th place in Group-C points table with 15 points. In the nine matches JK were able to win mere one match while as they suffered defeat in three. JK were also able to draw five.
