While everyone is praising the inclusion of youngsters in the J&IK Ranji Trophy at the expense of non-performing seniors, there is one question that everyone is asking, what is the fault of Suryansh Raina who has been brilliant for J&K in Under-23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy.
If the performance is merit to be called up for the J&K Ranji Trophy team then Raina should be automatic inclusion. He is in top form for Under-23 team and has been in top run getters in the league in entire tournament.
He currently sits at 12th place in top run getters list in the tournament with 536 runs from six matches. The next best run getter from J&K in Under-23 tournament this season sits at far off 78th place. That should sum up how brilliant Raina has been for J&K this season. He has scored 538 runs at an average 48.73 and was able to hit double ton in the last match against Odisha.
While Under-19 cricketers will likely make their debut tomorrow, the question will remain there. What has been the fault of Raina?
