Srinagar: The all-round show by J&K senior cricket team outclassed hosts Uttarakhandh as J&K emerged winner in the opening match of the Ranji Trophy Cricket tournament match by 253 runs at Dehradun on Wednesday.
Starting third days play from 18/3 in chase of 410 run target set by J&K, hosts Uttarakhandh got all out for 149 runs in second inning to hand J&K a 253 run win and six points. For J&K Ram Dayal took five wicket haul in second inning while as Mohammad Mudhasir and Umer Nazir took two wickets each.
Earlier J&K in first inning had scored 182 runs with Shubham Khajuria top scoring with 47. In response Uttarakhandh got all out for 82 runs in first . Mohammad Mudhasir took five wicket haul for J&K while as Ram Dayal took four and Abid Mushtaq one.
In second inning , J&K went on to score 304 runs to set a target for hosts. Fazil Rashid played unbeaten knock of 71 runs for J&K while as Abdul Samad scored 60 and Ram Dayal scored 41.
In the match J&K was lead by Shubham Pundir in place of injured Parvez Rasool.
