This game will be the sixth consecutive home game of the I-League debutants as they come from two back to back wins against AIFF developmental side Indian Arrows and Aizawl FC in their last two games. So far Real Kashmir has gathered 10 points from their 6 matches and is currently sitting at the 5th position in the points table. The Kashmir side so far has been able to net only 4 goals and two of them came from former Minerva Punjab midfielder Bazie Armand.

Talking about the young Lajong side, Kashmir’s coach Dave Robertson said, ”They keep playing the same way regardless of the score-line. They have been scoring goals, creating chances but they have been conceding too. But as time goes on, they will stop conceding many goals and I hope it does not start on Tuesday.”

“They are organized as they have been playing together for a number of years, they have got a lot of speed all over the pitch and they create a lot of chances. Just like every other game, we have got to be at our very best defensively for the whole ninety minutes because most times die after 70 odd minutes, but this team will keep going for ninety minutes. So, it will be a ninety minutes game for us.,” he further added.

Lajong meanwhile is going through a tough time in the I-League campaign and have managed only 4 points from 7 matches. A win against Aizawl and a draw against Minerva Punjab at home were the courtesy of The Reds’ points so far. They go into the match after a narrow 1-2 defeat at home against Neroca FC. Despite the poor run, Lajong so far has managed to score 9 goals from 6 different scorers. Young Phrangki Buam leading the tally with 3 goals.

Coach, Alison Kharsyntiew spoke about the team’s mentality to bounce back from the poor run of form and said, “Yes, we have won one and drew one but we are not getting the results despite playing good football. So, for Tuesday’s game, we will give our 100 percent effort and try for a win against Real Kashmir. I think our main objective now is to try to bounce back and try to win every next game. Hopefully, we will start on Tuesday and get the three points. But it will be very difficult against Real Kashmir as they are a very good team and we have to give our best. “
