The reports of this injury concern of this Pakistan all-rounder are wrong and infact with the star working on his fitness at National Cricket Academy.

In Pakistan media there have been reports that Imad Wasim has failed the fitness test on Sunday, April 14. However a senior Pakistan journalist Sajad Sadaiq has quashed his reports in his tweet.

“Reports that Imad Wasim has failed to pass a fitness test today. The reality is that Imad has been doing rehab at the NCA and hasn’t even done the fitness test yet,” Sajad Tweeted.

Previously as per reports, Imad twisted his knee and is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. His chances of making it to World Cup-2019 squad is still not clear.

Later Sajad Sadiq quashed all the rumours and tweeted that Imad injury is not that serious.

If Imad’s injury would be serious it would be big blow for Pakistan. Imad is among the list of 23 probables for the World Cup, all of whom will have to undergo fitness tests at the National Cricket Academy on April 15 and 16.

In the recently concluded One Day series against Australia in UAE, Imad did well for Pakistan. The 30-year-old scored 141 runs in five matches, which included a fifty, at an average of 70.50.

He also took three wickets at an average of 83.66.

Pakistan’s next assignment will be a limited overs tour of England, which will consist of a one-off Twenty20 International and five ODIs.

After that series, which will be held between May 5 and 19, Pakistan will play two World Cup warm-up games against Afghanistan and Bangladesh on May 24 and 26 respectively.

They will then kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
