Handwara, July 7: Rising Star Baramulla on Sunday defeated Bandipora Cricket Club in the finals to lift the third edition of Chinar Cup at Baki-aker, Handwara.

Earlier, after winning the toss, Raising Star elected to bat first. An ideal display of batting by Junaid Qayoom helped them post the par total of 143 runs in the T-20 encounter.

Chasing the target, Bandipora Cricket Club lost early wickets. Rising Star bowlers sticked to right lengths, hence bundling out BCC on paltry 126 runs to register 27-run win.

Junaid Qayoom for his 35-run cameo two wickets grabbed the man of the match award while as Bandipora’s Nasir Lone ran away with man of the tournament momento.
