Srinagar: Pakistan’s young promising batting star Haider Ali said that India’s Rohit Sharma is his idol while as Babar Azam remains his favorite Pakistan batsman.

Haider had also earlier said that he wants people to call him Babar Azam and not Virat Kohli.

“My idol is Rohit Sharma,” Ali said in a video with YouTube channel Cricket Pakistan. “The best thing about him is his strike rate and I want that in my game.”

Haider also reconfirmed it in a Twitter Q&A session, when a fan asked him to choose his favorite star among Kohli, Rohit and Babar.

Replying to another question, Ali said Babar is his favorite Pakistan batsman.
