Srinagar: Veteran Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar donated 50 lakh INR towards Coronavirus relief fund, Mid-Day reported Friday.
Since the whole India is under lockdown to prevent the spread of pandemic Coronavirus, countless daily wagers are struggling to manage the basic necessities. Subsequently, some privileged people are coming forward to help the country in fighting these tough times.
Doing his bit, the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar also provided an amount of 50 lakh INR for relief fund, 50% of which will go in state quota while rest towards centre.
“He does not want to speak, he regularly contributes to relief funds during calamities. He has donated his entire salary as an MP to PM’s relief fund and also contributes regularly to the NGO Apnalaya,” the source was quoted as saying by Mid-Day.
