Jammu and Kashmir handball team met and interacted with the Secretary, J&K State Sports Council, Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary here on Monday.

The team won bronze medal at 35th sub-junior (boys) national handball championship in New Delhi which was held from 26th to 30th December 2018.

The team won by 31-21 against Madhya Pradesh.

The State team was picked for this prestigious tournament by the association and was screened by Screening Committee of the J&K State Sports Council. Secretary Sports Council, Dr Naseem Chowdhary appreciated the players and welcomed them with garlands. He also appreciated the coaches and managers of the Handball Association who are tirelessly working for the improvement of sports in the state. Dr Chowdhary further assured enhanced facilities and support for excelling in sports arena.
