As old saying goes,class is permanent, one of the known faces of J&K cricket, Huwaid Hamid once again showed the class he posses as the senior pro smashed a knock of 177 runs in J&K Cricket Association talent hunt cricket tournament at Sheri-Kashmir cricket stadium Sonwar on July 4.
Playing for his side, UCC against Rose Cricket Club, Huwaid playing as opener formed huge stand with Zahid as their team posted 404 in allotted 40 overs. Huwaid got out after scoring 177 runs knock while as Zahid scored 115. Showkat remained not out on 61 while as Manzoor scored 33.
Huwaid is senior cricketer of state who has represented State at various levels over the years. He is now a NIS certified cricket coach having recently completed Diploma from the prestigious coaching institute.
Despite moving into coaching career, the senior pro has kept himself going in club cricket and on Thursday he showed glimpses of immense talent and experience.
