Indian cricketer, Shikhar Dhawan on Thursday lauded Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi for playing despite having a fast during day.

The Delhi Capitals opener posted a picture of him with Afghan duo post the Indian Premier League eliminator between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

He appreciated them for appearing in the matcha after the fast. The aggressive batsman remarked them for making it look ‘effortless’ while terming them an inspiration for world cricket,

“Wishing everyone #RamadanKareem. So proud of them! It is not easy to fast the whole day & then play the match. But they make it look effortless! An inspiration for their country & the world cricket! Your energy motivates everyone to dream big. May Allah’s blessings be with you!” Dhawan wrote on his official Twitter handle.

Dhawan played a part in Capitals’ thrilling win over Hyderabad. The side crossed the line in the last over with Windies cricketer Kemo Paul finding the ropes off Khaleel Ahmed’s bowling.

They will now face Chennai Super Kings in the second qualifier on Friday.
