Srinagar, May 4: Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar has expressed his desire to coach Team India and Kolkata Knight Riders, an Indian Premier League franchise, to produce fast-bowlers like him.
Akhtar was a part of KKR, Shahrukh Khan-owned team, in the initial edition of IPL and now is willing to coach the side.
“Shoaib expressed his opinions during an interactive session on Helo App. The 44-year-old also wants to become a coach of the Indian national cricket team. The Punjab-born reckons that by taking up the role, he could inject his qualities in the Men in Blue’s fast bowlers.” CricTracker reported Monday.
Akhtar was a furious pacer, laced with unbelievable abilities. After his retirement, he has shown a lot of interest in taking the job of coaching, however, he is yet to find a big gig as a coach.
The Pakistan cricketer is also occasionally found in commentary box.
