J&K State Sports Council employees have welcomed Government’s proposed move of merging Sports Council with Department of Youth Services and Sports. They requested the Government to solve the pending issues of the employees before going ahead with the merger.

“We the employees of Sports Council support the Government announcement,” read a statement of J&K State Sports Council Low Paid Employees Union.

“At the same time we request Government to clear the pending demands of the employees that include pension benefits before going ahead with the merger,” it added.
