Jammu April 8: In a first, the Department of Youth Servies and Sports has sent a group of budding cricketers for a special training camp held by English coach, Rodney Jones, at KC Sports Club, Jammu.

Rodney is a United Kingdom-based level three coach affiliated with ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board). He is presently training cricketers at KC Sports Club Jammu in a 12-day long coaching camp.

The Director General of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Dr Saleem ur Rehman, while providing details about this initiative has said that the Department is committed to providing the best possible coaching and training to the youth of the state in different games.

“Department hopes that this would help the state in achieving many laurels at national and international levels,”

“By utilizing the services of well-qualified coaches for this purpose, it is obvious that our young and efficient student players can improve their skills and improve their performance. ” Rehman stated.
