Srinagar: Wife of Indian cricketer MS Dhoni, Sakshi, Friday requested media to stop spreading ‘false news’ after the news, saying Dhoni donated only 1 lakh for needy amid coronavirus, broke out.

Sakshi, without specifying which news she was referring to, hit out at media houses for ‘false’ information,

“I request all media houses to stop carrying out false news at sensitive times like these ! Shame on You ! I wonder where responsible journalism has disappeared !” She wrote on her official Twitter handle.

The news of MS Dhoni having donated mere 1 lakh rupees for 100 families has been doing large rounds lately. The fans in large numbers criticised the former Indian skipper for not ‘donating enough.’
