Budgam, October 11: Sultan Warriors Sunday pipped Hyder XI Ompora to win the Big Kashmir T20 Cricket League.

Earlier, after winning the tos, Hyder XI Ompora opted to bat first. They ended up scoring an average total of 161 runs while losing all their wickets in 19.5 overs. Sajad, with 47 runs, was the highest scorer, while Zahid Dar also struck 36 runs.

For Warriors, Waseem Raza scalped four and Nisar Ahmad two wickets in their tally of 4 overs.

In reply, Sultan Warriors, despite some struggle earlier on, fought well and achieved the target in last over with two wickets in hand.

Danish top-scored wuth 38 runs and Nisar Ahmad made quickfire 33 off 14 balls to ensure his team crosses the line.

Nisar Ahmad, for his all-round performance, bagged hero of the final award.

On the closing ceremony, best bowler of the tournament award was given to Waseem Raza while best striker award went to Zahid Dar. Mussa Khan won the emerging player award.

Sultan Warriors were awarded with cash-prize of 50,000 INR while as runner up team was awarded with Rs 30,000 INR cash.

Player of the final, best bowler, best batsman, best striker and emerging player awardees were given cash prize of 1,000 INR each.

Shaid Kamle was the chief guest at the event and distributed the awards, while guest of honors were Ab Rashid Pandith, Shanawaz Shafi , Mohd Yousf Saheen, Nazir Ahmad.
