J&K Cricket Association is going to conduct selection trials for selecting J&K T20 team for Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Tournament at GGM Science College Jammu from January 23- Wednesday.
In the trials, players from both provinces would be participating and would be held under the supervision of the senior selection committee headed by Rashid Patel. It will be after J&K’s below-par performances in Vijay Hazare One Day Tournament and Ranji Trophy four-day tournament that J&K would be selecting the team for the T20 format.
In the Ranji Trophy campaign that ended recently, J&K finished seventh in the group of 10 teams.
Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy tournament is scheduled to start from Febuary 21 and J&K would be playing its first match against Nagaland on same day followed next clash against Jharkhand on February 22.
