Srinagar: J&K Bank Academy were grounded on Friday after they were thrashed by Minerwa Academy FC by 4-0 in the match of U-16 I-League at New Delhi.

After having won its last two matches, Bank sided saw a completely different opponent in shape of Minerwa in front of them,. The Punjab based side has been dominating the second division and academy level I-League from last couple of seasons. This time, they left no stone unturned to make statement out of JK Bank side. Minerwa emerged winner out of match by dominating 4-0 win over JK Bank.

Amarjeet scored first goal for Minerwa in second minute. At half time Minerwa was leading by 1-0. In second half, Nongdamba made it 2-0 for his team in 47th minute. Tarampreet scored 3rd in 69th minute while as MD Shahjahan scored 4th in 86th minute.

Earliere in the same event, Minerwa had defeated Kashmir FC by 4-1 goals 2while as defeated Real Kashmir by 2-0. Out of three JK based sides, only Kashmir FC was able to score against the top quality defense of Minerwa. Numaan Zaffar Bhat was the scorer.
