Jammu and Kashmir’s cricket prodigy, Qamran Iqbal on Tuesday scored a scintillating half-century for India U19 ‘A’ against South Africa U19 in the ongoing Quadrangular series at Greenfield Stadium, Trivandrum.
India ‘A’ captain, Nehal Wadhera, after winning the toss opted to bat first. Qamran opened the innings and gave his team a strong start. Known for his distinctive style, the right-handed batsman went after Africa bowlers from the very beginning.
He reached to fifty-run score with a boundary and lastly was removed on 60 runs (off 65 balls). None of other hosts’ batsman looked comfortable at the crease afterwards, hence they are struggling at 145-4 in 34 overs.
