It was rare low score for the Under-19 opening batsman from J&K as Under-19 India-A registered another win in the ongoing Quadrangular U19 One Day Series (2018-19) Greenfield Stadium, Trivandrum on March 7.

Qamran Iqbal who has been terrific with the bat for J&K as well as Under-19 India A and B sides made only five runs as India-A beat Afghanistan by 92 runs. He was LBW to Fazal Haq Farooqi.

Batting first India-A scored 252/10 in 47.4 overs. SA Veer top scored with 81. S Rawat scored 45. For Afghanistan Shafiqullah Ghafari took 4 wickets.

In reply Afghanistan got all out for 160 runs thus handing India A 92 run win. Arif Khan with 33 was top scorer for Afghanistan. SA Veer took 2 wickets.

In the previous match against South Africa Qamran had slammed 60 run in tough conditions. He was awarded man of the match for his knock.

India-A will take on India-B in the next match on March 9.
