Jammu, February 14: Seven J&K batsmen were dismissed on duck as 22 wickets fell on day-one of Col CK Nayudu U-23 tourney match between J&K and Uttrakhand at M.A stadium, Jammu on Friday.
After choosing to bat first, in a bizzare turn of events, J&K lost first five wickets on 2 runs with none of the batsmen opening their account. However, wicket-keeper batsman Kanhaya Wadhwan came to the rescue.
The talented lad made impressive 42 runs while all-rounder Sunil Kumar also made scintillating 47 to help hosts post 120-run total on a tough track.
In reply, Uttrakhand also struggled a bit though ended up making 198 runs, taking 78-run lead. Vivrant Sharma picked a fifer for J&K apart from three wickets by Lone Nasir.
Coming to bat for the second time, J&K lost another two wickets with only 7 runs on board.
