Goa, Feburary: Fighting knocks by promising Musiaf Aijaz and flamboyant Nasir Lone went in vain as Goa pipped J&K by 71 runs in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy, here.
Chasing a tough total of 333 runs, J&K had lost opener Sufyaan on the cusp of day three. The struggle for visitors continued as batsmen couldn’t resist the early help bowlere received this morning.
However, with five wickets down, Musaif Aijaz and Lone Nasir sitiched a superb partnership to keep J&K alive in the match. Though once Nasir was sent back after scoring 90 runs, tha tail rattled soon after.
Musaif Aijaz played yet another scintilatting inning of 115 runs before been run-out. Goa, despite conceeded first innings lead, managed to run away with 6 points from the game.
