Srinagar: Brilliant J&K Under-23 women’s cricket team continuing its superb form notched up its fourth win out of five matches played in Under-23 Women’s One-Day Trophy as they crushed Arunachal Pradesh by 9 wickets on Monday at Cuttack.
J&K dominated match in both batting and bowling to complete a crushing nine wicket win over Arunachal. Batting first Arunachal were able to post only 127 run total in their allotted 50 overs for the loss of nine wickets.Megha Sharma with 58 was highest scorer for them while as R Rawat scored 33. For J&K, Bismah Hassan took five wicket haul while as Heena Kousar took two and Sadiya Wani one.
In reply, J&K achieved target for the loss of only one wicket in 32.3 overs. They lost their opener without opening her account and it seemed J&K may face uphill task to reach the target. However, Nadia Chowdhary joined in middle by Tanisha Sharma gave opposition no chance as the duo overhauled the total. Nadia remained not out on 51 from 100 deliveries while as Tanisha remained unbeaten on 52 from 91 deliveries.
