It has been long selection process conducted by J&K Cricket Association junior selectors for the Under-23 One Day event that started on January 23 n Jammu.

While players who had gone for trials from Kashmir province where forced to have their own accommodation and food in Jammu, it is the selectors of JKCA who are enjoying the JKCA facilities.

JKCA has refused to provide facilities to the players from Kashmir province who are taking part in the selection process. The players are struggling in Jammu and even they have exhausted their huge money on their daily expenses that include hotel accommodation as well.

While players are in problem, the selectors who have gone from Jammu are staying there in Jammu on the expenses of JKCA.

“One selector from Kashmir is in Jammu. He has arranged his own facilities but later would be reimbursed by JKCA. In that context yes he is staying in Jammu on JKCA expenses. The other selector had gone to Mumbai and is now back in Srinagar. JKCA is unable to provide him air ticket as air ticket prices are way up,” said a source in JKCA.

It is disappointing State of affairs in JKCA as there seem to be no one to look after the welfare of players. It is irony that from last 15 days Kashmir based players have been forced to look after themselves by JKCA. If JKCA can’t provide facilities then they shouldn’t have conducted trials in Jammu.
