J&K suffered its fifth consecutive defeat in the ongoing Women’s Cricket Under-23 T20 League-2018-19 as they were thrashed by Odisha by 86 runs at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot, on Monday.

Going into the match after having suffered four consecutive defeats, J&K again gave below par performance as they were outplayed by Odisha in both batting and bowling departments.

Batting first, Odisha thrashed J&K bowlers as they posted 160 runs in allotted 20 overs without fall of any wickets. Anjali Singh played superb unbeaten knock of 97 runs from 78 balls while as Kajal Jena scored unbeaten 56 from 42 balls.

In reply, J&K were able to score only 74 runs for the loss of nine wickets in allotted 20 overs. Humaira Farooq with 41 run knock was highest scorer while the next best score was eight by Farkhandha Khan. J&K batting failed once again as they have been failing in the entire league. For Odisha, Barasarani Singh took three wickets while as Rajashree Swain and Subhra Nirjharini Swain took two wickets each. 

With five consecutive defeats, J&K stand at seventh place in the group of eight teams. Mizoram stand at last place with less number of defeats but has lower run rate than J&K.
