J&K suffered defeat in the first match of their Women’s Cricket Under-23 T20 League-2018-19 campaign as they were thrashed by Railways at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot on Tuesday.
Railways won by 127 run margin after restricting J&K to 60 for the loss of nine wickets in allotted overs in second inning.

Earlier Railways won the toss and opted to bat first. They went on to post huge total of 187 runs on board for the loss of five wickets in allotted 20 overs. For them S Meghna with 55 runs was highest scorer while as Nuzhat Parween with 37 and R Kalpani with 36 were other notable scorers.

For J&K, Heena Kouser and Sadiya Wani took two wickets each.
In reply J&K batting failed completely as they could manage to score only 60 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets. Sinika with 20 not out from 52 balls was highest scorer for them while as Nadia Chowdhary scored 13.

For Railways, Bharti Bewa took five wickets while as S Meghana took two. Railways registered 127-run win and bagged four points from match. J&K will next play against Saurashtra on Thursday.
