Srinagar: The open volleyball coaching camp conducted by District Srinagar Volleyball Association in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council is going on at Polo Ground Srinagar.
The camp has been going on from last two to three weeks and is intended to be continued throughout the year for the development of Volleyball. In the camp, the players are being imparted training by Kashmir University Volleyball coach who is well known name in the field of Volleyball Muneer Aalam. The camp is being daily attended by players from all over Kashmir province in both male and female sections.
“The aim of the camp is to revive the Volleyball culture in Kashmir region. It is known fact that volleyball is highly popular in far flung areas of Kashmir but in Srinagar its popularity has been fading. This camp is intended to revive the culture in Kashmir region and particularly in Srinagar,” Muneer said.
“It is free camp and open camp in which anyone can come and participate. The results are already coming with some talented players from different areas of Kashmir joining the camp.
