Legendary West Indies cricketer Brian Lara has been taken to hospital in Mumbai after complaining of chest pain.

As per reports Brian Lara was taken to the Global Hospital in Parel on Tuesday. While hospital authorities refused to divulge any information, sources said that he had complained of chest pain.

Times of India quoting sources reported that “Lara was complaining of unease but he’s absolutely fine now. There’s nothing to worry (about)”.

He was brought to the hospital at around 12.30 p.m. and medical investigations were started immediately. Sources said that he was at an event in a nearby hotel when he complained of discomfort.

Officials from Star Sports too reached the hospital and were present with the batting star at the time of writing this story.

It is learnt that post the India versus Afghanistan match, Lara had been on a break from his commentary duties at the studio and was expected to resume duty on the eve of the India versus West Indies match scheduled for June 27.
