Young Islamia Anzwallah won the final match of Dachnipora Premier League by defeating Tiger Sports Nanil by 3 in a nail biting finish played today at Sports Stadium Nanil Anantnag.
The tournament, which was meant for junior age group, organized by Dachnipora Cricket Federation. In the tournament a total of 16 teams from district Anantnag participated, which ended today with Young Islamia Anzwallah’s win.
In the beginning of today’ final match, the toss was won by Young Islamia Anzwalla and elected to bat first and scored 119 runs as target, in which Mudasir Scored Brilliant 54 runs. From Tiger Nanil side Suhail took 4-wkts. While in reply Tiger Nanil could manage to score only 115 runs in allotted overs and lost the match by 3 runs in a nail biting finish. Thus Young Islamia Anzwallah became the champion team of the Dachnipora Premier League 2018 (junior age group). Mudasir Ahmad was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant 54 runs in the match and Adil Ahmad was adjudged as man of the tournament for scoring 205 runs and taking 7 wkts in the tournament. On the final award ceremony the Chief Patron of Dachnipora Cricket Federation Mr. Lal Mohammad Ganie was the chief guest along with others guests included: Firdous Ahmad Alias Mamaji (Captain Iqbal Sports), Dr. Riyaz Veeri (Chairperson Veerian Cricket Academy), Hilal Ahmad Wani (Captain Rehmat Aalam Cricket Club Anantnag), Shabir Ahamd (Captain Green Land Chandpora), Fayaz Ahmad (Captain Star Sports Anzwallah), Farooq Ahmad Tantary (Coach Tigers Sports Nanil), Nazir Ahmad Padder (Chief Organizer), Mukhtar Ahmad Banday (Vice Chairman DCF), Naseer Ahmad (Captain BCC Anzwallah), Owais Ibn Bashir (Commentator) and Shaboo Rasool, who gave away the trophies and medals to players and officials of the tournament.
