Indian cricketer, Yuvraj Singh on Sunday hailed Jammu and Kashmir pacer, Rasikh Salam for handling the pressure well in his debut Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Delhi Capitals.

Rasikh after being picked by Mumbai Indians in the auction made his way into the playing straightaway in the first match of the season. The youngster started the bowling for Rohit Sharma-led side on Sunday, surprising many including fans back in Kashmir.

The 17-year-old conceded paltry 21 runs in his first three overs, however, giving away as many in his last and 19th over of the innings.

After the match, Yuvraj Singh applauded the youngster’s effort,

“The day Rasikh came in the nets, everybody was impressed. He got hit for a six and a four on his last two balls but apart from that, he was very good. He handled himself well in front of a massive crowd.” The iconic figure of Indian cricket was quoted as saying by Mumbai Indians official Twitter handle.

The Men in Blue though lost the match but having a strong squad, they can make a strong comeback in the upcoming matches.
