Zakir Hussain claimed five-wicket haul as RCC Budgam defeated Gulzar-XI Hankarmulla in the inaugural match of the J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) Budgam talent hunt cricket tournament at Sports Stadium Budgam.

Earlier the tournament organized by JKCA in collaboration with District Cricket Association Budgam was inaugurated by cricketer Parvez Rasool alongwith MLA Budgam Syed Aga Ruhulla. In the tournament 120 teams from all over Budgam are taking part.

Batting first Gulzar XI Hankarmulla got all out for 148 in 32 overs. In reply RCC Budgam achieved the target in 18 overs for loss of 2 wickets. Bilal Ahmad with 70 runs from just 46 balls was highest scorer for them. Zakir Hussain for his five wicket haul was awarded man of the match.

Among others present on the occasion were representatives from all the Tehsils of the District.
