Wushu Association of J&K organised selection trial for juniors and seniors players at Sheri-Kashmir Indoor stadium here to select players for international competitions.
In the trials around 200 players from all the states participated and among them 30 players both boys and girls were shortlisted for the selection trial to be organized by the Wushu Association of India at Sports Authority of India (SAI).
Those trials are being held for selecting players for National Coaching camp for the junior Asian championship to be held at Brunei and 15th World Sushi championship to be held at Shanghai.
Manager Indoor Stadium Mushtaq Zargar flagged off the selected players and he also appreciated Wushu Association of J&K for organising selection trial at Indoor stadium Srinagar.
Pertinently during the last junior world championship at Brazil J&K Wushu player got its first ever medal while in the 14th World Wushu championship at Kazan in Russia two players of J&K State secured bronze medals for the state.
National Chief Coach of India Kuldeep Handoo who is also CEO of the Wushu Association of J&K thanked J&K State Sports Council for the support and hoped that the selected players will get maximum reservations in the national coaching camp.
