Srinagar, November 26: In a major development that is going have major impact on Pakistan’s cricket tour of New Zealand, six members of the Pakistan squad have tested positive for COVID-19.

This was revealed by New Zealand Cricket (NZC).

As per statement all six players are currently in managed isolation. Two of these six results have been deemed ‘historical’ while four have been confirmed as new. The team will not be able to train until investigations are completed.

“As a consequence, @TheRealPCB team’s exemption to train while in managed isolation has been put on hold until investigations have been completed, ” Official Twitter handle of New Zealand Cricket Announced.

As per the protocols of the country, the squad will be moved to the quarantine arm of the managed isolation facility.

It is also revealed that some members of the Pakistan team had breached protocols on the first day of managed isolation.

Meanwhile, a New Zealand Ministry of Health said these breaches of protocol had been caught on CCTV and the squad has been issued a ‘final warning’.

NZC will be having discussions with the tourists to assist them in understanding the requirements.
