Srinagar, January 25: Misbah ul Haq lead side Asia Lions registered second consecutive win as they beat India Maharajas comfortably in the match of the Legends Cricket League at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground, Al Amerat , Oman on Monday. Asghar Afghan and Upul Tharanga were the stars for Lions.

Riding on Upul Tharanga’s clinical fifty and Asghar Afghan’s (69 off 28) late blitz, the Lions ended up putting up a formidable total of 193 for 4.

In reply, the Maharajas never really got going and lost wickets at regular intervals in the run chase. Opener Wasim Jaffer (35) looked good for a brief period before getting dismissed while Yusuf Pathan (21) and Stuart Binny (25) did try to up the ante but their untimely dismissal brought down curtains on their hopes of winning the match.

Earlier, the India Maharajas led by Mohammed Kaif won the toss and elected to bowl first.
