Srinagar, Aug 24: Senior Superintendent of Police Awantipora felicitated martial art ( Thang-Ta) player Sumiya Saif resident of Lethpora for her outstanding performance in the sports event during Independence Day function at District Police Lines Awantipora on August 15.
Sumiya was awarded with appreciation certificate, memento and a cash price of Rs 5000(Five Thousand to boost her morale, a statement issued said.
Sumiya Saif has participated in Nation level event of martial art in the year 2019 at Tripura and International Level at South Korea in the year 2014 representing the nation.
SSP Awantipora on the felicitation event said that the Sumiya is going to encourage youth and girls in District Pulwama especially in Police District Awantipora to have more participation in sports events and health activities, statement added.
