High on confidence with his two back to back match winning knocks for the Pakistan cricket team in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, middle order batsman Haris Sohail has said it was never performance but fitness that made his place in team not permanent affair.
Speaking to media ahead of Pakistan’s crucial World Cup clash with Afghanistan , Haris Sohail said, “I’ve never been out of the team due to my performance. I had a bad surgery which made me struggle, but that’s under control now”.
He said that he was always determined to make his way back into team and give hundred percent.
“I was only thinking about when I get back into the team I will give 100% and be successful,” he said.
He requested everyone not to compare Babar and him with any former players as that adds pressure.
“Comparisons to former players will only create pressure for us. Babar and I just want to keep things simple and try to play even better in the upcoming matches,” he added.
