A newly formed maiden under 19 cricket club in North Kashmir’s district Bandiopra viz Bandipora Gymkhana got off to a stunning start as they cruised star studded Kousaria Cricket Association by 7 wickets.
Playing their debut match in the ongoing Adnan Memorial Cricket Tourney here at Watapora Bandipora, Gymkhana had a memorable outing with a huge debut win.
Earlier, after winning the toss, KCA elected to bat first. Disciplined bowling from the bowlers helped Bandipora Gymkhana restrict KCA to the meager total of 120 runs in the alloted 20 overs. Junaid and Ishfaq who scored 21 each were the highest scorers from KCA side.
From Gymkhana side, skipper Mohsin Kamal scalped four-fer while as Aamir and Owais Pandov took 2 wickets each.
Replying to the meager total, Bandipora Gymkhana openers Zubair Yahya and Imran Haji mangled the KCA bowling attack as they put on the mammoth partnership of 108 runs.
Zubair Yahya scored 54 while as Imran Haji 40. Imran Haji for his sensible knock and tight spell was named as man of the match.
