Srinagar: A Facebook post doing rounds on social networking website has revealed that J&K baseball team coach, left out a member of its team at Railway station Delhi, who later was provided air tickets back home by Sports Council after intervention by some of the well wisher’s of a player.

A facebook by Syed Tajamul Imran with link https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=1276551662438183&id=100002500839781 reads, “ On Ist Jan 2017, as everybody was busy in enjoying the first day of new year, I at 10:23 pm got a call from a walling Brother #Mudasir (A member of #AJKSU) who’s young brother was lost at Delhi railway station”.

“After my conversation, I got the number of the kid, a 14-year class 10th student from #Magalpora_Pulwama, Student at Dolphin International School Pulwama J&K. According to the said boy, He with other 35 students from different parts of Kashmir where on the way from Kerala to home (Kashmir) after playing a baseball tournament there. But as they reached Delhi he lost his way then somehow he called his parents, and his parents got the number of the coach and then the boy called his coac”.

“Sir, I have lost my-self , am calling from an unknown person’s cell phone, am at plate form no 8 please come”. But in reply the coach abused him and said ‘why he lost his way’. After reaching platform no 8 the coach again not only abused the kid but this time he beat him too in-front of hundred persons. But somehow some locals as well as some Kashmiris at railway station came to rescue and took the little boy and saved him,” post reads.

Soon after the news somehow his brother managed and send his friends to rescue his young brother, they came and took the boy from railway station Delhi and from last two days the boy was at IIT Delhi with Khalid Muzaffar.

The post further states that the, they contacted the concerned authorities that included Sports Minister Imran Reza Ansari and Secretary Sports Council Waheed ur Rehman Parra.

“As the night passed, Early in the morning I got a call from Waheed Ur Rehman Para. The whole matter was discussed with him, he assured that he will look in the matter and action will be taken against the coach. After passing of 3 days this afternoon, I got a call from Showkat Ahmad; PA to Waheed Ur Rehman Para and after getting details they sent an air ticket for the boy.

The boy is on the way from Delhi to Chandigarh, I personally will receive him late night IA and he will leave for home (Kashmir) tomorrow via Air,” it further reads.

The facebook post also revealed that concerned coach has denied the allegation and said that player had misbehaved with him.

“However I talked with the coach too, but the story he is telling is totally different. Whatsoever if the Student has misbehaved with him. Does that mean he should left him at an unknown place remains a question,” post reads.

The J&K baseball team was taking part in 25th Sub-Junior National Baseball Championship at Kerala.

The state contingent comprised of 32 players of both boys and girls teams and 4 officials.the team was sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
