Sopore, March 05: Asim Bashir starred in Friends XI Tangmarg’s thrilling 4-wicket win against Food Cricket Club Baramulla in the inaugural match of the ongoing Big Bash Cup Seer 2022 on Saturday.
Earlier, after being invited to bat first, FCC lost 4 quick wickets in the power-play but thanks to contributions from the lower-middle order, they managed to score a par total of 153/10 in the allotted 20 overs.
Nadeem top-scored with 37 runs while as Arshid scored 32 runs. For Tangmarg, Asim Bashir and Riyaz took 2 wickets each.
In response, Friends XI Tangmarg achieved the target in the last over of the match, loosing 6 wickets (156/6 in 19.3 overs). Asim Bashir was the main contributor with 37 runs to his name while as Riyaz added 35 runs. Basharat took 2 wickets for Food Cricket Club.
Asim Bashir was adjudged as player of the match for his all-round performance.
