Inter Department cricket tournament organized by Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, Kashmir University concluded at Kashmir University on July 12.
In the tournament 35 departments/satellite campus teams participated. The final was played between Business School of main campus and Zakura Campus.
Batting first Business School managed to score 196 in allotted 20 overs. Usaid with 43 and Sabit with 42 were highest scorers for them while as Syed Fuzail scored 38. Ubaid took two wickets for Zakura campus.
In reply Zakura campus managed to score 170 runs for the loss of all wickets in 18.3 overs. Sabit took four wickets for Business School and was declared man of the match.
Director Physical Education and Sports, Prof. Nisar Ahmad was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed prizes amoung the winners.
Speaking on occasion he appreciated both teams for putting up a strong performance in finals and informed players that a coaching camp would be organised for the selected players from Saturday.
